We had James and his team complete a logistically challenging job of deck replacement and sleep-out for us on our Kawau property recently. We have subsequently had James to replace the roof as well. The access was extremely difficult and required helicopter use for supplies at times. The job was done with excellent workmanship and professionalism.

During the winter of 2016 Kawau Boating club contracted Downs Construction Ltd to refurbish the ablution block at the KBC club rooms. Considering the logistics of taking on a major refurbishment on an island that has no infrastructure as in roads or even a local builders supply and also the fact that in the middle of winter Kawau can be a little inclement to say the least, Downs Construction handled the project with ease and integrity.

The project included a complete strip out and re-installing new shower cubicles and toilet facilities for both female and male. They then moved on and constructed a deck and roof structure for us to install our new walk-in chiller/freezer to be in.

The team worked to minimise the time frame of construction and no task was too difficult. James managed the project for us and we would certainly recommend them for any further projects.
